We have hosted Farm and Wilderness Summer Camps for children since 1997. Children and adults enjoy the magical, rural setting on Whidbey Island, nestled on the edge of a vast forest between two bays. Art, nature, crafts, song, story telling, archery, wood carving, fort building, yoga, games and so much more, all come together to teach the value of the environment, the impact of food choices, the stewardship of the land, and the kinship with the animals.

Full Moon Rising Summer Camps are located on beautiful South Whidbey Island in Washington State. A ten acre farm surrounded by undeveloped forest land with an intricate trail system that allows campers to adventure from farm to lake and everything in between. One of the more popular trails reaches all the way to Double Bluff Beach. The farm is a combination of forest, field, fenced paddock, pasture, orchards, and vegetable and flower gardens.

The land at Full Moon Rising was homesteaded in the late 1890's on Whidbey Island, originally called Dow Farm; a 30 acre cattle farm.  The farmhouse was built in 1937. The original fence and other artifacts of the original Dow Farm are everywhere. Full Moon Rising Farm has been running Summer Camps for over 20 years and was recently featured on the South Whidbey Record.

Anne Petersen has a background in education and environmental studies and meshes the two together to create a multi-faceted learning experience.
